These streets will make you feel brand new.

So much to catch up on in this post!  I've made some great progress in my 22 going on 30 project.

I finished book #2. The Happiness Project.  Though I am not a middle aged woman with a career, a husband, two kids and living in the city, I understand the purpose and the concept. I kind of feel like this year is my own "Happiness Project." I'm doing things to make myself a more well rounded individual which in return I hope will make me happier.
I discovered a new website The Book Seer You type in the title and author of a book you just finished, and it displays a list of similar books you may enjoy!  Stay tuned to see what book I'm finishing next.

As far as traveling goes, I've traveled to multiple new places!
#1 Defiance, OH
#2 San Fernando, CA
#3 Northridge, CA
 #4 Los Angeles, CA
  #5 Carlsbad, CA
#6 Vista, CA
#7 San Diego, CA
#8 Prescott, AZ
#9 Flagstaff, AZ
#10 West Chester, PA
#11 Millersville, PA
#12 Brooklyn, NY
#13 New York City!

By far my favorite was San Diego, not just because I got to vacation there with the fabulous Logan Wern, but the scenery is breathtaking, the people are happy, and the life is good. I was so excited that I got a chance to stay and live with Tucky for a weekend in NYC! What a fun weekend of sightseeing, laughs, eating, and going out on the town! Want to see all of the places I've been to this year thus far? check it out!

More to follow! Have a fabulous week!

I smell like Starbucks.

In between some minor distractions on Facebook and some fine looking gentlemen walking into Starbucks I got a lot done. I've decided that working out of my home would be a bad idea for me in the future, oo many distractions. So far I've been pretty good with my resolution!

I'll be heading to Memphis, TN on Monday.  I will be visiting Christian Brothers University and then visit Jessie, the other Leadership Coach who lives there! #1 visit a new place!

I've started reading a book.  It's for work but will be helpful for me for the rest of the semester.  It's called....

For those of you who aren't familiar.. it's the sequal to Fish! A great book about motivation in an organization.  It's based off of the Fish Philosophy created by Pike Place Market. For those of you who have started working, I suggest you read it, it's very applicable. #1 Read a book.

I went and worked out this morning.  I used the bike as a warm up and was peddling next to a man with a tracheotomy who kept drinking what appeared to be Coke out of a Sheetz cup. Needless to say I had an interesting work out and I'm trying to build up my endurance!

On a relaxing note, I finally got my room picked up and Holiday decorations away.

Well that's all for now! Check back next week when I have something better to talk about!!

22 going on 30

As I got ready for bed tonight I did my normal routine-- brush my teeth, wash my face, and watch a show on Netflix, but for some reason my body and mind were not ready for bed. Could it have been because I had slept in until 2:00pm? Perhaps. Could it be because I watched too many shows on Netflix that I'm passed the point of sleep? Maybe. Honestly though, I think it was that I'm bored.

See my life changed drastically in 2010.  I graduated from college, moved back in with my parents,  got a job where I travel five days a week, and left my friends that I spent the past four years recounting the nights, watching The Bachelor, and doing Zumba with. It's an adjustment.

After a "semester" of living at home, I know what I need to do and what I want to change. You can do so much in 30 minutes and by documenting it, I know I will hold myself accountable as well as keep you all entertained by my so called life.

What am I going to be doing in 2011 here is a little preview:
  • Read 30 Books-- for those who know me, I don't read.  So how will I do this? 30 min. every day.
  • Lose 30 pounds-- I joined Planet Fitness over Thanksgiving so I've started on this a little bit but thank goodness for having a best friend that works there that will kick my butt into gear.
  • Visit 30 new places-- Fortunately, my job will play a huge role in accomplishing this.  If you would like to see where I've been so far click here.
  • Catch up with friends-- I know I've been terrible at keeping up with some friends, so each day I will set aside 30 minutes to Skype or call someone.
  • Make 30 new recipes-- stumbleupon.com has introduced me to so many great cooking/baking blogs!
I'm really looking forward to this. Any suggestions of other things I should do?

Hope you all had a Happy New Year! I spent it with some wonderful friends!
